Fractions
1. Teaching fractions with food is fun. Use food that is already divided such as chocolate bars or graham crackers. Show how 4/8 of the bar is the same as 1/2.
2. Demonstrate fractions using a pizza and a pizza cutter. Divide the pizza in halves, then fourths, then eights. Emphasize that although there are more pieces, there is still the same amount of pizza.
